Flexible Polyurethane Foam

One of the most versatile foam materials ever created, Polyurethane foam is used in variety of industries of products to provide comfort, support, protection, and safety. Its light weight, resiliency, reduced odor emission and high resistant to mildew, it is used extensively in the furniture manufacturing and design.

The major markets for flexible polyurethane are as cushioning materials in furniture, bedding, carpet underlay, automotive and packaging applications. Flexible polyurethane foams can be molded to shape or produced in large bun-stock form for later cutting and fabrication.

Polyurethane PU

This resilient open cell PU flexible foam is available in densities ranging from 1# to 1.8#. Polyurethane is an open cell flexible foam ranging in density from 1.5# density to 8# density. It is available in anti-static and fire retardant formulations, and can be formulated meet the MIL-PRF- 26514, Cal-117, MVSS302, UL-94, and the FAR 25.853(a) specifications.

Foam Types:

Polyurethane PU

This resilient open cell PU flexible foam is available in densities ranging from 1# to 1.8#.

Polyethylene PE

Polyethylene foam has increased tear strength while being lightweight. This foam is available in almost any color. This foam is an excellent choice for case inserts and tool kits as it is impervious to most chemicals. Available in a wide range of densities and is also available in anti-static, conductive and fire retardant formulations.

Cross-Link Polyethylene EVA

EVA is semi-rigid, chemically cross-linked polyethylene/EVA block-type foam with closed or open cell structure.  It exhibits a fine, homogenous cell structure with excellent insulation, cushioning, and water-repellent properties.

Rigid Urethane Foams

Rigid urethane’s are used in a wide variety of products including low cost tooling, sculpting/modeling and for insulation. The foams can be fast wire cut into shapes and profiles.

PVC

Polyvinyl chloride is the third most widely produced plastic, after polyethylene and polypropylene.[2] PVC is widely used in construction because it is cheap, durable, and easily worked.

Foamglas

Foamglas pipe insulation’s all-glass, closed-cell structure provides an unmatched combination of physical properties, it is impermeable to moisture in any form, cannot burn and it is non-combustible. Foamglas pipe and block insulation is used most frequently in applications involving process piping, tanks, vessels and equipment, which is most commonly, used by the gas processing, refining, petrochemical and specialty chemical industries. Temperatures range from -450°F to +900°F (-268°C to +482°C).

Phenolic

Trymer® – a green Phenolic insulation offers low thermal conductivity combined with excellent flammability performance, closed cell, and good water and water vapor resistance. It performs great on pipe insulation or chilled water lines operating in the air plenums of commercial building.

Rockwool

Rockwool is an extremely fine fiber product that offers superior thermal insulation as well as outstanding acoustical properties and fire resistance and does not promote corrosion.

Polyisocyanurate

Polyisocyanurate pipe insulation is a closed-cell, high-performance insulation for pipe, vessel, equipment and duct applications.

Trymer, a Dow Chemical Product pipe insulation features one of the lowest ambient k-factors among all pipe insulations: 0.19 BTU in/hr ft2 °F at 75°F mean temperature (0.027 W/m °C at 24°C) and can be used over a broad temperature range from -297°F to 300°F (-183°C to 148°C).

XPS FOAM (extruded polystyrene)

This is an extruded polystyrene product which has exceptional moisture resistance, insulating efficiency and a variety of compressive strengths, combined with air infiltration reduction and labor savings make XPS insulation a suitable – even preferable – insulating material for use in commercial, industrial and residential structures, as well as for critical civil engineering uses.
